Is It Crazy to Go to London for the Weekend? ✈️🇬🇧
Share
Short answer? Probably.
Did I do it anyway? Absolutely.
I left Orlando at 6:00pm on Friday and landed in London at 7:00am Saturday morning. No overthinking. No “maybe next year.” Just booked it and went.

By Tuesday, I was back at work like nothing happened.
And honestly? It was so worth it.
Where I Stayed: Zedwell Piccadilly (Capsule Style Living)
I stayed at Zedwell Piccadilly Circus — and yes, it’s basically a capsule-style setup.

Not everyone’s cup of tea. But if you’ve read my other blogs, you already know I love unusual stays and minimalist experiences.
Each sleeping space has its own roll-down door, giving you privacy without the luxury price tag. It’s clean, simple, quiet, and right in the heart of Piccadilly. You walk outside and you’re in the middle of everything.

And the price?
£38 a night.
For central London.
Let’s be serious — that’s a win.
The Flights (aka Free Is My Favorite Price)
My round-trip ticket? Free.

I used miles from my Capital One Venture X card — all bonus miles from signing up. Strategic travel is the best travel. When you understand points and miles, the world opens up in ways most people don’t realize.

Theatre Weekend 🎭
I packed this trip.
First up: an matinee showing of Mamma Mia! — my favorite. I will never get tired of it. The music. The energy. The joy. It’s just pure happiness.

Found time that evening to see Titanique!

Then I saw the world premiere of Sea Witch, a prequel to The Little Mermaid. There’s something special about being in the room for a premiere — that electric “we’re seeing this first” energy.

Had to see Mazz Murray in this show! She slayed as Queen Charlotte (of course).
Three shows. One weekend. Across the Atlantic.
Because why not?

So… Is It Crazy?
Maybe to some people.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
Life is happening right now. Not when everything is perfectly planned. Not when you have “more time.” Not when it feels convenient.
Sometimes you take the weekend trip.
Sometimes you sleep in a capsule.
Sometimes you cross an ocean just because you can.
